CHELSEA PHYSIC GARDEN

One of London’s oldest botanic gardens, the Chelsea Physic Garden offers visitors both educational courses and tours for a little something different to enjoy in the area.

Founded in 1673 as the Apothecaries’ Garden, and purposefully situated close to the River Thames for the optimum climate, the garden was set up with the purpose of training apprentices and identifying plants.

Now home to over 5,000 different varieties, the gardens are open daily for visitors and are the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely amble after enjoying lunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden.
